Three injured in Queens stabbing

QUEENS Police say the suspect punched another man in the jaw during a dispute at the intersection of 147th Street and Northern Boulevard just before 9:45 a.m.

Police from the 109th Precinct rushed to the scene and tackled the man, wrestling a knife away from him.

As they were placing him into custody, the officers discovered three people stabbed in a nearby residential apartment building, at 147-15 Northern Boulevard.

The victims, two women and a man, were rushed to area hospitals.

An elderly husband and wife were in critical condition but have since been updated to serious.

Another woman, a 41-year-old who was stabbed in the back, was less seriously injured and is listed in fair condition.

Police have charged David Williams, 41, of 147-25 Northern Boulevard in Queens with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
