Woman calls cops on drunk friend

WHITE PLAINS The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday, when police received a call from a 23-year-old woman who said she had just had an argument with her friend near. The caller said the friend, who she described as "very drunk,'' had just driven off in a SUV.

The caller provided them with a partial license-plate number, police said, and moments later, police spotted the SUV swerving across several lanes of traffic on northbound North Broadway.

The SUV was stopped, and 25-year-old Brigid Kieran, of Greenwich, Connecticut, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

The police report says that after cops pulled Kieran over, there was a strong smell of alcohol on her breath, she was slurring her words and her eyes were bloodshot.

She reportedly submitted to a breathalyzer test, which came back with a reading of .20. Bail was set at $250. She is due in court on January 27.
