Mom serves alcohol to minors?

WEST ISLIP, New York Suffolk County Police arrested 53-year-old Clare Gude on Tuesday afternoon on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and violating the county's social host law.

Authorities say a minor who had attended the Jan. 17 house party was treated for alcohol poisoning at a local hospital.

Gude was issued a desk appearance ticket and will be arraigned at a later date.

A call to the telephone number listed for Gude's home was answered by a youth who hung up after informing his mother that an Associated Press reporter was calling for comment.
