AC casino standoff ends after 11 hours

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. Trump Entertainment Resorts risk management director Rick Santoro says officers from Suffolk County, N.Y., were trying to detain the man when he pulled a gun in the security office at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort around 8:50 p.m. Thursday. Santoro says the officers pushed him into the cell and the man threatened to kill himself.

Hostage negotiators were able to convince the man to surrender.

His name has not been released and there are no other details about why police were looking for him.
