An armed embezzlement suspect wanted by police surrendered after an 11-hour standoff in a holding cell at an Atlantic City casino Friday. Trump Entertainment Resorts risk management director Rick Santoro says officers from Suffolk County, N.Y., were trying to detain the man when he pulled a gun in the security office at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort around 8:50 p.m. Thursday. Santoro says the officers pushed him into the cell and the man threatened to kill himself.

Hostage negotiators were able to convince the man to surrender.

His name has not been released and there are no other details about why police were looking for him.
