Jet that landed in Hudson is moved again

NEW YORK The jet's fuselage had been at the Weeks Marine in Jersey City since Jan. 18. It was placed on a flatbed tow truck and driven through Jersey City and North Bergen on Saturday, much to the surprise of onlookers.

There was a slight problem during the trip: The fuselage couldn't fit under a Jersey City bridge, so officials rerouted it through other nearby streets.

Peter Knudson, a spokesman for the National Transportation Safety Board, says the jet was taken to a salvage company's storage facility in Harrison.

Flight 1549 splash-landed in the Hudson on Jan. 15 after a collision with a flock of birds knocked out both engines. All 155 aboard survived.
