Arrest in death of woman found under bridge

NEW YORK New York City police say the suspect was brought to the city from Pennsylvania on Thursday to face a second-degree murder charge in Christie Neely's death.

The 36-year-old's body was found in April 2007 in a bag under a bridge on the Henry Hudson Parkway. The medical examiner's office ruled that the Bayonne, N.J., woman had been strangled.

New York police say they got a tip that the suspect was living in Pennsylvania and passed it on to detectives there. Philadelphia police arrested the 47-year-old suspect in October.

New York police say he fought extradition to New York.
