The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which Emara allegedly placed an ad on a Web site geared toward personal ads, offering someone $5,000 in exchange for this person committing an act of aggravated assault against the ex-girlfriend.
Specifically, prosecutors say Emara wanted to hire an individual to hit the woman in the knee with a blunt object (possibly a baseball bat) and to cause a permanent scar to her face (possibly by cutting her).
Emara was arrested when he arrived at a prearranged location to provide the hired individual with details of the intended victim. These details included her name, address and photograph.
