Authorities say a north Jersey woman accused of suffocating her ailing husband with a plastic bag also tried to kill her 15-year-old daughter the same way. Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli announced Friday Jenny Tran is charged with attempted murder, making terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of a minor.

The prosecutor says Tran also threatened to kill her 10-year-old son, who fled the house and called a relative, who called police.

The 47-year-old Elmwood Park resident is being held at the Bergen Regional Medical Center on $2 million bail.

Tran was initially arrested Sunday and charged with murder in the death of her husband.

Minh Trung Tran had suffered a stroke several months ago.

Neighbors said Jenny Tran was struggling to find affordable health care.
