Woman says pit bulls attacked her pup

NEW YORK Now, Christine Chin says her pup, 3-year-old Bebe, is on the mend after two surgeries and several thousand dollars in medical bills.

"As all dogs are, they try to protect their owners" Chin said. "Bebe ran back between my daughter and the three pit bulls, and of course, they have every chance to bite her. One pit bull picked her up and two just go after her, like a snack."

DJ Honda owns a recording office several doors from where Christine runs a spa. There was no answer at his office after a try to reach him for a response to Christine's allegations.

Mark Miller is the president of the Lower East Side Business Improvement District. He says he's aware of concerns following the attack.

"It's a concern if the dogs are dangerous," he said.

While Christine does say someone from DJ Honda's office has offered to pay medical expenses, her bigger concern is this could happen again.

"Either to my little baby or children running around here," she said

Miller says it's important to explain to them that this is a serious situation, and the dogs must be on a leash and wear a muzzle when they are outside.
