Vacant building collapses in Brooklyn

COBBLE HILL Eyewitness News is told the roof collapsed into the four-story building at 217 Court Street just after 3 a.m. Thursday.

Several floors of the vacant building were reportedly damaged.

The building was not occupied and there were no injuries.

Officials say residents of two adjacent buildings -- 215 and 219 Court Street -- were temporarily evacuated. The Buildings Department will determine the structural stability of those buildings.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation.

One lane of Court Street was closed between Wyckoff and Warren streets for emergency work.
