Deal reached for nurses in Bayonne

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. Talks resumed Sunday after the hospital ended a three-day lockout on Friday and called back workers. An agreement was reached late Sunday night.

Health Professionals and Allied Employees union spokeswoman Jeanne Otersen says the 3-year agreement addresses key issues such as severance pay, seniority rights and staffing standards. Members will vote on the pact on Thursday.

Meanwhile, talks continue at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, which has locked out 700 nurses since June 3.
