Sketch of subway bandit released

NEW YORK The suspect is wanted in connection with seven robberies that have occurred on the subway in Manhattan and the Bronx since early January.

In each incident the suspect approached the victims on subway trains and either displays a knife or simulates a firearm.

The suspect then demands the victims property and bank card PIN numbers.

No injuries were reported until the most recent robbery on Sunday. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Most of the robberies occurred during the afternoon hours.

The suspect is described by police as a black man, 20-25 years old, 6'1" to 6'2" tall, with a medium build and black hair. He wore a black cap with a black logo on the front.
