Police say they got a call just before 9 p.m. that a man had been shot at the intersection of West 129th Street and St. Nicholas Terrace.
When police arrived at the scene, they found 15-year-old Tyrone Corbett with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder.
He was rushed to St. Lukes Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are looking for the shooter and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
The shooting remains under investigation.
