NEW YORK Friends and family say 52-year-old Jeff Locker, who made a career out of helping others live a fulfilling life had his taken away too soon.

He was found in his car in East Harlem and police say he appeared to be stabbed and strangled and witnesses say he was tied to the head rest.

Detectives canvassed the Wagner Houses today where police found Locker.

They say it appears he had been killed in his 2007 Dodge Magnum, which was parked near a hydrant on Paladino avenue.

His wife Lois reported him missing after investigators say he called her on Wednesday night to say he had a flat tire near the bridge and that a couple had stopped to help him.

But at around 11:30 Thursday morning, police discovered the motivational speaker dead inside his car, his tires inflated.

Investigators say Locker was spotted going into a nearby deli at around 3:00 that morning before the murder took place.

The medical examiner said the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest with injuries to the heart, lung, liver and aorta.
