October 30, 2009 4:08:22 PM PDT
It took some effort but a Long Island marine is finally home, and reunited with his wife and his prematurely born baby daughter. Little baby Madison Rose weighed just 2 pounds 11 ounces when she was born on October 3rd.

Her daddy, Marine Lance Corporal Keith Wagenhauser, had been fighting marine brass to get home to be with her, and with mom Cristal.

Thanks to the help of local congress members, he finally got leave from his ship near Iraq.

The new dad, will be able to stay with his baby girl for about 20 days before going to a stateside base.

Madison Rose has gained 5 ounces since her birth, but remains in intensive care.
