Amtrak spokeswoman Karina Romero says that authorities temporarily shut down a section of the Seventh Avenue passageway.
She says train service was not affected.

Police responded to the area at Seventh Avenue and 32nd Street
in Midtown Manhattan. The call came around 2:25 p.m. Friday and
police finished searching twenty minutes later.
