New Jersey Transit officials say a brush fire burning off Interstate 280 in Harrison is delaying train service on the Morris & Essex and Montclair-Boonton lines. Authorities say the fire started around 3:15 p.m. Friday after a motor vehicle accident.

NJ Transit says service was temporarily suspended on the two lines between Newark's Broad Street station and New York and Hoboken.

Service on the lines resumed just before 5:00 p.m. with one hour delays.

Numerous fire companies were working to try to contain the fire.
