There is no word Sunday morning on what sparked the fire that injured nine people inside a high-rise on Manhattan's Upper East Side Saturday. Flames and falling debris could seen from the building on Second Avenue, near East 91st Street.

A view from nearby buildings showed thick smoke filling the air.

The building was evacuated for several hours.

The fire was contained to the 14th floor of the 40-story high-rise.

One person was seriously injured.
