New Jersey offers home appliance rebates

NEW JERSEY The state's participation in the program funded by the federal stimulus package will last through April or until the $2.4 million runs out.

In other states, the money was nearly gone by the first day.

The Garden State will offer $25 rebates for Energy Star clothes washers, $25 or $50 for dishwashers, and $5 or $100 for refrigerators.

Rebates are available from either the appliance store or can be redeemed by mail.
