5 arrested in Brooklyn bar fight

Investigators are trying to sort out the facts of an early Saturday morning brawl at a bar in Brooklyn that left a firefighter, a police officer, and a Port Authority police officer hurt. All of them were off-duty at the time.Five people have been arrested.

The fight started around 2:40 a.m. inside a Bay Ridge bar called "The Kettle Black."

Investigators say the fight started when a man punched the NYPD officer in the face. The firefighter and the Port Authority officer tried to intervene, but the cop was hit in the face and the firefighter was slashed on the arm with a knife.

It is unclear what sparked the violence.
