Kyle Mitchell was riding near a park on Barker Avenue when he was shot just after 10 p.m. Thursday. He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, a man wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, fled the scene. No arrests were immediately made.
A 17-year-old was fatally stabbed, allegedly by a 15-year-old, following a fight at school Wednesday afternoon. Also, an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed near a subway station Thursday morning. He collapsed on the doorstep to the NYPD's 41st Precinct.
