New York City releases restaurant grades

July 28, 2010 3:02:45 PM PDT
Wednesday is the first day for new health code grades at New York City restaurants.

City inspectors will rate the cleanliness of more than 24,000 establishments.

The city hopes that restaurants that don't get an A will try harder in order to hold onto their customers.

The New York State Restaurant Association is raising money for a legal challenge to the grading system.
