AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in the Garden State on Friday was $2.57, the same as a week ago.
But that's still higher than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.40.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose two cents to $2.74. The national average a year ago was $2.52.
AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Tracy Noble says demand for gasoline rebounded again this past week, a change that's likely due to "the stability we've seen at the pumps" for most of this month.
