Motorcycle officer injured in Midtown crash

A police officer was injured when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle making a U-turn in Midtown Manhattan.

It happened at 7:20 p.m. at 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.

The police officer was thrown from his bike when it hit the car.

He suffered minor neck and back injuries and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car was issued two summonses.
