Police say 25-year-old Abdallah Elawar was arrested after the NYPD released new surveillance video of him Tuesday that was recorded shortly after the second attack.
Elawar is charged with robbery and assault.
He is currently only accused in the first incident, against a 44-year-old victim, who he allegedly hit with a gun, robbed and sexually assaulted.
Charges in the second attack could come at a later time.
