Pricey puppets stolen in Connecticut

March 25, 2011 3:34:16 PM PDT
A Connecticut man is appealing to the public for the return of his cast of performing puppets.

Daniel Thomacos says the 20 puppets valued at more than $10,000 were stolen along with sound and lighting equipment from a locked shed outside his New Britain home Sunday night. A neighbor reports spotting four people breaking into the shed and removing the puppets.

The unique puppets, with names like Megore, QT, Hystereo and Daniel Numberman, are the stars of a stage act he and his wife put on at area schools and their cable television show, "The Not So Late Night Show."

Thomacos says he regards the puppets as friends and he feels like they have been kidnapped.

He says he'll be satisfied if the thieves leave the puppets on his lawn.
