The walk helps raise funds for research, education and life improvement programs in 250 communities across the country -- bettering the lives of about 50 million Americans each year.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The park's entrance is located across from 17 State St. There is no fee to register, but participants who raise $100 or more will receive a T-shirt. Those interested may also go online to register or donate money on behalf of an individual walker, team or the event itself. Site visitors can also register to volunteer.
