Yankee Stadium peanut seller moving to PA

BRONX

A.L. Bazzini Co. will close its Hunts Point roasting plant in the Bronx and move to a larger facility in Allentown, Pa., in July.

Although the company is moving, CEO Rocco Damato tells the Daily News Bazzini is a New York brand and he'll never pull all of it out of the city.

Fifty-seven people will lose their jobs, but Damato said he expects 30 of them to make the move to Allentown. Another 50 people from the company's distribution, accounting and customer service departments will remain at the Bronx facility.

Bazzini also processes pistachios, almonds and cashews.
