Police in New Jersey are searching for a killer Friday after a deadly shooting Thursday night.

One person was killed and three others were wounded in the shooting in Newark's west ward.

Police say 21-year-old Al-Tariq Harris was shot and killed in front of a convenience store on 14th Avenue and South 18th Street around 7:15 p.m.

The other three victims were taken to University Hospital.

One was released, while the other two are listed in stable condition.

So far, no arrests have been made.

A black vehicle, possibly a station wagon, is being sought in connection with the shooting. It was initially pursued by police, but the driver got away.

Investigators are looking to see if this shooting is connected to Monday night's shooting where eight people were shot.

Aziz Stewart, 15, was killed in that incident.
