Bandits pose as food deliverymen in Inwood

INWOOD

They are wanted for a home invasion robbery in /*Inwood*/ earlier this month.

The suspects knocked on a woman's Cooper Street apartment door Sunday, Aug. 7, and told her they were delivering food.

Once inside, one of them pulled out a gun and demanded cash in Spanish.

The woman was hit with the gun in a rear bedroom, and she was cut in the head.

Investigators said one shot was fired during the holdup, but she was not hit.

The suspects fled with the woman's purse.

They were described as Dominican men in their 20s.

The impersonation robbery occurred in the 34th Precinct, where residents were recently warned to be wary of burglaries.
