Doorman saves woman from choking

NEW YORK

84-year-old Claire Rosengarten says she started choking on a calcium pill and couldn't breathe.

Her husband didn't know what to do but she knew who would and luckily she lives on the first floor.

She knew that her doorman would be on duty so she ran out of her apartment.

"He immediately spun me around and he did the Heimlich maneuver maybe three times which is a lot because I still wasn't breathing and able to speak and my life was saved," Rosengarten said.

The doorman said he was too shy to speak about the incident to reporters.
