Many adults not properly vaccinated

NEW YORK

The Centers for Disease Control says the number of adults who get important vaccines remains too low.

That includes shots protecting against tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough.

The CDC also says many adults missed vaccines during childhood like mumps and the measles and should get them now.

Each year 45,000 Americans die from diseases that could have been prevented by vaccines.
