Women can lower stroke risk with citrus

Women can eat citrus fruits to help reduce their chance of having a stroke.

A new study shows that women who regularly eat citrus, like oranges and grapefruits, could lower the risk of blood clot related strokes by as much as 19 percent.

Citrus has more of a compound known as flavonoids, and that particular compound seems to give women the most protection against strokes.
