Brush fire in Central Park

A small brush fire was burning in Central Park.

The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. by Central Park Conservancy staff.

The fire is at the section of the park knows as The Mount, which is where organic material is collected and composted by the Conservancy.

The fire was 20 feet high at one point.

The fire was put under control around 6:15 p.m.

No one was injured.

It's not yet known what caused the fire.
