Prosecuting bullies

May 30, 2012

Dahrun Ravi - the Rutgers student - was, in the end, a bully in the Tyler Clementi case that ended with Clementi's suicide; a tragic end to mean-spirited webcam spying on a young gay man's intimate encounter with another man.

Ravi starts his jail sentence tomorrow.

And tonight, also in New Jersey, prosecutors have brought assault and robbery charges against three youngsters after their bullying led to the suicide of a 15-year-old freshman at Morristown High School.

Are we really at a point where bullying will no longer be tolerated? Not sure we can make that leap, but there are many who are now pointing to the New Jersey cases as evidence that there's a big change underway.

We'll have the latest on the case, tonight at 11.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
