Infant grazed by bullet in Bronx shooting

NEW YORK

Trayvon Brunson was struck in the right shoulder as his mother pushed him on Seneca Avenue in Hunts Point just after 10:30 p.m.

His mother heard him scream and saw him bleeding. She ran to firefighters at nearby Ladder Co. 48.

Trayvon was rushed by ambulance to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The gunman fled and no arrests were immediately made. The shots were not believed to be intended for Trayvon or his mother.

Witnesses, who say gunfire is common in the area, said as many as six shots were fired.
