Surveillance of brazen jewelry robbery

September 14, 2012 7:06:24 PM PDT
Police are hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a woman accused of stealing from a jewelry store in the Bronx.

Police say the woman on the video entered "Kings Jewelry" in the Fordham Manor section last month and asked to look at a gold chain.

When the clerk opened the door to let another customer in, the woman ran out the door with the chain.

A store employee and two dogs chased the woman outside, but she got away.

The woman is described as black, 5'3", 20-30 years of age, and wearing blue jean shorts, brown tee shirt and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
