Some New Yorkers saw red early Tuesday when the Empire State Building began its campaign to find New York's favorite color.

For the rest of the week, from sundown until 2 a.m., the building will use its new LED tower lights to get the public's opinion.

Each side lights up in a different shade of the same color, and people are invited to use Facebook to vote for their favorite.

Tuesday night's color is orange.

To vote for your favorite shade, visit the Empire State Builidng's Facebook Page.
