Police, family, renew search for hit and run suspect

NORTH BERGEN, N.J.

They set up a checkpoint Friday night to hand out flyers near the /*North Bergen*/ intersection where Omar Monroig was run over last March.

Eyewitness news was there for the first informational checkpoint, soon after the tragedy.

A sketch of the suspect and surveillance video of the dark Toyota Camry the suspect was driving have not yet led police to a suspect.

Monroig had just left a dinner to celebrate his 42nd birthday when he was killed.

His family is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
