Need a ride? Sea lion hops into car in San Diego

SAN DIEGO

Mike Belahunt was on his way to work when he spotted the sea lion in the road and pulled over to try to help it.

"I didn't know what to do, and these guys hadn't shown up yet, so I just opened the door and got him over there, he ended up just jumping in the car," he said. "Hung out in the front for a little bit and then went in the back, and he's just been sitting there for about 20 minutes waiting for the SeaWorld guys to show up."

Experts at SeaWorld are treating the thin and dehydrated pup.

They say it appears to be 8 months old.
