According to investigators, two men followed the woman as she walked from her first floor apartment, with one of them placing her in a choke hold.
After she fell to the ground, they made off with her pocketbook containing her cell phone, credit cards and personal property, as well as a Bank of America bag.
The victim, a businesswoman, was taking a week's worth of receipts to the bank, and was robbed of more than $100,000.
The suspects were dressed as part of a construction crew doing renovations in the building.
Detectives believe they followed the woman home, knowing that she had the cash.
The suspects are described as two male blacks, 28-33 years old, 6'1" to 6'2" tall, and approximately 200 lbs.
Suspect #1 was wearing a white shirt, black du-rag, and sun glasses. Suspect #2 was wearing a black t-shirt, black du-rag, and jeans.
