Explosion rocks Nutley; No injuries reported

NUTLEY, N.J.

Essex County prosecutors say some type of device went off around 8:45 p.m. Saturday in an outdoor area near Centre and Prospect streets in Nutley.

Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly said Sunday that no one was hurt in the blast, but it did shatter some windows in nearby structures.

He declined to provide further details on the explosion, citing the ongoing investigation.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.
