The woman's body was found Sunday morning by a recreational boater three miles south of Montauk Point.
She had been reported to have fallen overboard from a boat Saturday night.
The Coast Guard received an emergency distress call from a man stating that a 39-year old woman from his boat was missing in the waters east of Montauk.
The pair were the only ones on the 45-foot Carver pleasure craft.
