Police have arrested a Long Island man for hosting a party with more than 500 people in an abandoned warehouse in Huntingon Station.

Suffolk County Police received a 911 call at about 10:30 Friday night regarding a party at a warehouse on New York Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found the party taking place in the abandoned building, which did not have fire alarms, sprinklers or sufficient exits.

Several windows were boarded up and the building was overcrowded.

Authorities say the event was coordinated by 47-year old Richard Hall of Huntington Station, who has been charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Nuisance.

The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal was also notified.
