Sketch released of suspect in Queens sex assault

NEW YORK

Police say a man followed the 24-year-old victim, a student at Queens College, from her bus stop at 152nd Street and Melbourne Avenue in Flushing early Friday morning.

She says he punched and choked her, then tried to drag her into the bushes just before 5 a.m.

She fought back, and the man fled when a witness heard her screams for help. The witness yelled to the suspect that he had called 911.

The victim's roommate spoke to Eyewitness News.

"He was saying stop fighting before you die," Su Wei said. "She actually bite his hand so she could scream out and get help."

The suspect is described as a white male with light complexion, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8 and 150 to 170 pounds with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans.
