Eyewitness News reporter Matt Kozar reports from the scene that Baldwin recruited a half dozen students to act as bodyguards as Baldwin, his wife and baby left the building.
At some point, the kids started screaming and creating a ruckus. Police then arrived on the scene to get it under control.
Baldwin proceeded to tell police he was pressing charges against a local news reporter. Police questioned her while Baldwin and his family left the area.
Earlier in the day, cameras captured the actor in a confrontation with a reporter, and then he was seen shoving a photographer.
Baldwin was walking his dog when he encountered the reporter, who was covering the conviction of a woman accused of stalking the actor. He told the reporter, "You're in my way."
He continnued walking into his building, and then returned to tell the reporter, "If you're still here when my wife and kid come out, you're going to have a big problem, you know that."
Later in the morning, cameras captured Baldwin leaving his apartment and pushing a photographer, and then smacking the smart phone out of the guy's hands.
The photographer picks up the smart phone and continues to follow the actor, saying "You shoved me into a car."
"You tried to hit me with a camera," Baldwin replied.
"I didn't try to hit you with a camera," the photographer said.
"You take a walk. You don't wanna get hurt, do you?" Baldwin said.
Eventually, the photographer backs off and Baldwin heads into a hair salon.
The incidents come a day after Baldwin chased down a photographer who got close to his wife and baby daughter.
The video posted by TMZ, shows Baldwin, 55, yelling, "Get away from my wife and baby with the camera," as he jogs toward the paparazzi. After a female voice, presumably his wife Hilaria, calls him back, Baldwin stops his chase, but not before he gives the second photographer, who is shooting the video, an earful.
"Get away from my kid with the camera," he yells. "You know what's going to happen to you, don't you? Come on!" He added a homophobic slur at the end.
He later apologized on Twitter, saying he didn't realize the word was "an anti-gay epithet. In which case I apologize and will retire it from my vocabulary."
Baldwin has been getting a lot of attention this week because of the trial of now convicted stalker Genevieve Sabourin. When he left the Manhattan courthouse Tuesday, he told one photographer, "I hope you choke."
Before taking off, he rolled down his window and asked the media, "What job did you want to do that you failed at that you're doing this job?"
