New Jersey Transit's Hoboken terminal reopened its waiting room Monday after more than a year of work to repair damage done by Superstorm Sandy.

Passengers once again have a place to wait for the train.

The waiting room features new floors, benches, and a new heating system after the storm flooded the building with five feet of water.

Further restorations at the terminal will continue as crews repair stone and marble in the waiting area as well as the vendor spaces and the customer service area.

In addition to the damaged woodwork, the boiler was destroyed.
