Police say it happened at about 8:45 a.m. in a store at 141-15 Rockaway Blvd. in the South Jamaica section.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital. There is no word yet on his condition.
A storekeeper near the crime scene says the victim was a young male who was shot alongside a car in the parking lot.
Police are investigating the scene for witnesses and evidence.
