Search for man who robbed Manhattan Starbucks, tied up workers

NEW YORK

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 16th at the Starbucks on 3rd Avenue in Gramercy.

Police say the man had a gun when he ordered two workers to the floor, a 21-year old woman and a 22-year old man, and demanded money.

He then tied them up with zip ties before taking about $3,000 from the cash register and fleeing the scene.

Neither of the victims were hurt.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, 5'7"-5'9", 200lbs, with a light colored complexion and facial hair. He was last seen wearing square framed eye glasses, a dark colored sweatshirt with "ecko" logo on the front, a black nylon jacket over the sweatshirt, black gloves and he was armed with a firearm.
