Lynbrook High School on alert due to undisclosed threat

The staff at a Long Island high school is being put on alert because of an undisclosed threat.

The school district sent a letter to parents, saying officials are working with the Lynbrook and the Nassau County police departments.

Officers will be stationed at Lynbrook High School Friday as a precaution.

Students are being told that no backpacks are allowed in school, and their personal belongings could be searched.
